Guided hike to Pulpit Rock Preikestolen
This trip will take you on one of Norway’s most popular and spectacular hikes. It is for good reason that this hike has gained its popularity with visitors to Norway and locals alike. Situated only a few hours from Stavanger, Pulpit Rock - or Preikestolen in Norwegian - is a towering cliff-plateau directly suspended over Lysefjorden. To stand (or sit) so close to the edge is probably the moment that hikers look forward to the most, although it is no easy deed. The top offers unobstructed views over the meandering blue fjord that was formed by the glaciers during the last Ice Age, making it a good spot to enjoy a photo session and possibly a light snack.
Reindeer Sledding Experience and Sami Culture Tour from Tromso
Enjoy the Sami experience of reindeer sledding, where you'll enjoy a long sleigh ride (30 mins) pulled by a wild reindeer. Then feed a herd of 300 reindeer at the camp, and gather inside a traditional Sami tent for a hot meal and to listen to stories about Sami culture around the campfire. A Sami guide will also perform a joik, traditional folk song, for you, before return transportation to Tromsø.
Reindeer visit, and Sami Culture Including Lunch from Tromso
The reindeer and the Sami have been living and working on this land for centuries and they have only recently invited guests to be part of their daily life. You will visit their camp and have a chance to feed the herd of around 300 wild reindeer who will swarm all around and some will even eat from your hands. You will then be invited for hot drinks around the fire inside a warm candlelit gamme (Traditional Sami Hut) where lunch, bidos, cooked over the open fire will be served (a traditional Sami stew which is often served at Sami weddings and other special occasions). After lunch you will be invited into a lavvu (Sami tent) and gather around the fire to listen to stories about Sami culture and how it is to be a reindeer herder. The Sami guide will also perform a joik (traditional Sami song) for the guests.

On this tour, you will discover breathtaking landscapes at a leisurely and relaxed pace. We start after breakfast and bring you back to your hotel in time for dinner. You will learn a lot about the country and its people. We take our lunch break at Øystese. Here you have the opportunity to visit a cider farm from where you have a wonderful view of the fjord. The route takes us through the small town of Odda, which lies at the far end of the Hardangerfjord. norwegian waffles and coffee await us here in a very cozy bistro, right on the fjord. We then drive through the 11 km long Folgefonn Tunnel. Our ferry leaves Jondal at 18:20, the crossing takes about 20 minutes. The return journey to your hotel then only takes 1.5 hours. Please note that this winter tour is recommended only for individuals with cycling experience and is only available to those over the age of 12.
