With Vidar, our professional photographer and local guide, you'll get plenty of attention and tips on how to capture the best possible photos of the Aurora Borealis. During the tour he will share stories about Troll, and its legends and myths. Of course, you are welcome to join our tour with or without a camera. Our guide will also take photos of the aurora to share. We provide you with all the gear needed (winter suits and dry boots), and like this you can fully enjoy this tour, even if it is freezing cold outside. Later in the evening Vidar will take your portrait and send it to you via email. We will spend plenty of time under the open sky; we will not miss anything up there! Join our small group Northern Lights tour!

In a small group with a max of 15 people we’ll take you to the spots with the clearest sky, take professional pictures and offer help on how to set up your own camera. Photos will be shared with you by email. If you need a tripod we also got it for you!

To keep you warm during the tour we have thermal suits and warm boots. Later on, we're going to enjoy the cozy atmosphere around a bonfire, have sausages, warm drinks and cookies.

Can you imagine being at the Market Place in the centre of Tromso, and after only 30 minutes suddenly realizing that you are far away from the city surrounded only by nature and fjords? In our approach to beautiful Hella, we will navigate along the Ry tidal current. This current attracts fish, and fish attract birds, so we will see and hear lots of nature around us while docking. We will then walk five minutes to a small boathouse where we will serve coffee/tea and muffins while enjoying beautiful views of fjords, mountains and birds. From here, you will observe the strength of the current we just navigated. Finally, we will start our short hike back to the RIB boat and our exciting navigation back to Tromso! Please not that this is NOT sea rafting.

Welcome on board the exclusive RIB; «Talaria» – a 42-foot Goldfish X12 with 1350 HP and a maximum speed of 80 knots. Our two pilots can take up to 10 guests in cushioned seats, where 4 of the guest seats are inside the heated cabin. Join us on a spectacular tour into beautiful fjords and between small and large islands – always surrounded by mountains and spectacular northern Norwegian nature. Set off on an adventure into the total darkness of the Arctic fjords and Polar nights. We depart Tromsø and set sail to the place where the best weather conditions for the night have been predicted. This can be towards the areas of Kvaløyvågen or Ramfjorden or along the southern part of Kvaløya. The crew will work together and keep their eyes out for clear skies or a gap in the clouds. While we wait for the northern lights to appear, you can stay warm and comfortable in our heated lounges.

Throughout the evening our guides will share their knowledge and personal stories of the Northern Lights. From mythical stories from around the world to the scientific explanation of the Northern Lights. When we get lucky to spot the Northern Lights, we can put on our warm clothes and go outside to admire lady Aurora in the night sky. Some nights she shines bright in the sky and dances with different colours, while on other nights she's a bit shy and is only faintly visible or not visible at all.

Explore the beautiful boat and if we are lucky fishing, you will be served fresh fish, butter and flatbread in a real northern Norwegian way. This is really something for your bucket list.

It is ten at night and there is still lots of daylight! We pick you up at Radisson Blu hotel, take you to our office, and give you navigation suits, life jackets, and mittens. Then we go onboard our RIB-boat and after only thirty minutes, you realize that you are far away from the city surrounded only by nature, mountains, fjords, and light, very special evening light only seen above the arctic circle!

This self-driven tour is really at your own pace. You can stop as you please and for as long as you prefer. This tour has a focus on the cultural aspects of Senja and Tromsø that are often over looked by travellers as they are not well known. Guests will be provided with a detailed information package after purchase providing information on each out, links to our maps with great spots for hikes or all levels, photography locations and other important points of interest.

Experience our unique bus with extra large windows. This bus gives you the opportunity to see the Northern Lights on the way to our stops for this night. Some nights we have to drive to Finland (2 hours one way), and often it`s Northern Lights activity while we are driveing. Traffic and narrow roads without parking, can make it difficult to stop in time. Don't miss it.
