Byron Bay Platypus Walk
See platypus in their natural habitat. It is possible to see platypus at any time of the day, but our best chance is just after dawn. We pick you up from your Byron Bay accommodation and drive to the special platypus area. From there we start our 2 km easy walk along the creek looking for platypus. We usually see one or two platypus, and loads of birds. After watching the platypus have their breakfast we relax with ours – a picnic by the creek – before returning to Byron Bay. We can’t guarantee platypus sightings on this tour, but don’t worry. If we don’t see them we take you on another day, free. Come experience Byron's original stand up paddle board tour with our relaxing adventure down the beautiful Brunswick River in the Cape Byron Marine Park. The tour goes for 1.5 - 2 hrs (allow 3 hrs incl travel time to & from Byron). NOTE: we're not doing pick ups currently as a COVID safety measure. Get ready to soak in the peacefulness of the surroundings while learning/experiencing the fun of SUP. You'll feel far away from the hustle immersed in nature. Start times vary due to tides, please call for details on your preferred day. As a small family business we go the extra mile for you, literally rolling out the red carpet for when you enter the water. We provide cold water on tour, take photos & even provide homemade snacks back on land (& they seem to get as much praise in reviews as the tour!).
