1. Le Jolly Christmas Market

Sydney’s popular French Christmas market is back from December 15 to 22 with 5 wine bars and 40 vendors. Expect locally sourced artisan products, charming wooden huts and all the Christmas vibes that will transport you to Europe. Plus enjoy delicious food offerings like pasta in a cheese wheel, melted cheese dishes, lobster rolls and much more.

2. Martin Place Christmas Market

Martin Place is set to host a Christmas Market again after a successful run last year. The markets will run on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from November 24-26 then every Thursday, Friday and Saturday until December 23 from 11am to 8pm. There’s also live music and delicious hot food to look forward to along with jam-packed stalls selling homewares, festive products, gifts and more.

3. Night food markets, Canterbury

Three stellar night food markets are coming to Sydney this festive season across November and December with a variety of cuisines from around the world including Thai, Middle Eastern, Chinese and much more. The night markets at Canterbury Park will be held on November 17 and 24 and then on December 8 and 15 from 5pm to 10pm with 35 stalls at the venue.

4. The Rocks December Market

The Rocks’ Christmas market takes place every weekend on Saturday from 10am to 6pm and on Sunday from 10am to 5pm and it’s the ideal one-stop shop for all your Christmas needs. Expect everything from handmade jewellery to festive treats and heaps of Australian-made goods, plus Portuguese egg tarts, woodfired pizzas and handmade chocolate.

5. Sydney Fish Market 36-Hour Seafood Marathon

The yearly Sydney Fish Market Seafood Marathon has been a Christmas tradition and a summer fixture in Sydney for over 20 years. The markets open their doors every year from December 23 until Christmas Eve, with everything from premium and local seafood, fresh produce and gift shops available on site. You’ll also find a bakery, deli and bottle shop on-site.

6. Sydney Vegan Market

On Sunday, December 17, the Entertainment Quarter will host a Christmas edition to their monthly vegan markets from 9am-4pm. Find a number of plant-based and cruelty-free stalls featuring homewares, food, art and much more along with free yoga classes, live music and entertainment.

The Kirribilli Market is one of Sydney’s oldest and most popular markets. It takes place on the first and second Sunday and the fourth Saturday of the month. 8. The Very Merry Southern Christmas Market

The bright and merry market in southern Sydney is bringing food trucks, gift shopping, food offerings and so much more on December 16 and 17 at Southern Districts Rugby Club in Sylvania Waters. You can also expect a visit from Santa and photo opportunities at the venue.
