This family-run farm is located in the Hawkesbury area just a stone’s throw from Sydney. It’s big on local, seasonal and sustainable flower farming and offers a variety of flower-picking experiences including paper daisies and wheat fields. Their gorgeous sunflower farm is a popular hotspot for Sydneysiders looking to get their fill of blooming golden fields and available to pick from most of the year, subject to weather conditions. This small and picturesque family farm is nestled on the NSW Central Coast, just a short drive from Sydney. The farm comes to life with vibrant blooms during springtime with opportunities to pick your own as the weather gets nice and warm. With an array of seasonal flower varieties on offer, from sunflowers, cornflowers, foxgloves, sweetpeas and billy buttons, you can create your own kaleidoscope of colourful flowers that you can snip and take home with you. They are also commercial beekeepers with bees on site which means there’s always fresh honey for sale and if you time your visit well, there are also lambs at the venue that kids can feed and pet.

3. Woodstock Flower Farm

This small-scale flower farm offers a pick-your-own experience, called U Picks allowing flower enthusiasts to fill their buckets with the most vibrant blooms. Located just a 10-minute drive from Milton and Ulladulla, you can expect a variety of flowers including lovely dahlias, bold zinnias, snapdragons, celosia and of course, sunflowers. The experience is self-serve to make it extra fun, grab clippers and wander around the field while making the perfect arrangement of flowers.

Another farm on the Central Coast, The Giving Farm might be small in scale but it offers quite a variety for flower picking. You can find tulips, daffodils, ranunculi, lillies and cornflowers available for picking throughout spring along with sunflowers. Their wide variety of experiences also includes blueberry picking and fun events for the kids including animal feeding, feeding lamb and goats and options to learn more about native bees. The 60-acre farm often hosts pick-your-own sunflower events which are super dreamy complete with a coffee cart and marshmallows to roast.
