Drive out to Mondesa Township and enjoy a brief history of the township. Stroll down OB Street and get a fascinating glimpse into a typical Namibian township with the opportunity to chat to local residents and view typical homes and schools. Stop off at a small home craft market with different artists’ crafts on offer. Drive through to DRC (Democratic Resettlement Community) where we explain the housing projects and how the Swakopmund Municipality is improving the area. Transfer time is just about 20 minutes to get to the launch site at the historic landmark known as "Bird Rock". Sheltered by the big bay, we paddle in calm waters, enjoy wonderful bird life, see seals playing and dolphins swimming. Pelicans, cormorants and flamingos are among the many birds to be seen on the beach, the water and the air. Get ready to a 3 hours fun and peaceful trip. We paddle for about 1 hour, before we enjoy some hot beverages on the beach. Our kayaks can be paddles solo or double, and they can even accommodate a little child together with mom and dad. Fun for the whole family.

This is the description of the 7-hour Desert Tour: We travel through one of the oldest deserts in the world and find ourselves surrounded by the rugged and rocky scenery of the Namib Desert. Experience the "Ringing Stones" and the fascinating plants of the Namib, for example the remarkable Welwitschia Plant, a living fossil which is only found in this geographical area. With a bit of luck, one can see Springbok, Klipspringer. Steenbok, Baboon, Ostriches, Ruppels Korhaan and Trac-Trac Chat. After a lunch break we drive along the dry riverbed of the Swakop Valley and pass the Oasis "Goanikontes". We close off this tour with a visit to the Shifting sand dunes near Swakopmund. Please note: The 4-hour Desert Tour involves a shorter route and does not include a lunch break.
