Situated around 90 km north-west of Medan along the clear Bohorok River and on the outskirts of the tropical rainforest. This day tour involves jungle trekking through the Gunung Leuser National Park. It starts from Medan where you stayed already in this town. Drive to Bukit Lawang for 3-3,5 hours drive. Arrive in Bukit Lawang. After lunch time, you will make a short 3 hrs jungle trekking where you can see the semi or wild Orangutans. Steep, slopes and dense vegetation will bring you to the excitement of the Sumatra rainforest. Here you have the opportunity to see several species of indigenous flora and fauna. Walkers must be fit and have suitable, large profile shoes.
