El Chiflón Waterfalls and Montebello Lagoons Day Trip
This tour combines two of the best natural wonders of Chiapas into one day trip. Depart from San Cristòbal de las Casas to the magnificent El Chiflón Waterfalls, a series of falls that plunge nearly 400 feet into turquoise waters. Take a dip in the falls' many watering holes and climb 800 steps up to the highest point. Then continue on to Montebello Lakes, a series of 59 multi-colored lakes in a national park that's been designated a biosphere reserve. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included.

I learned them from my grandparents, parents and later, during my university career, I delved into diferent historical and social aspects. I also lived a historical moment in my town, witnessing the armed revolution of the EZLN (Zapatistas). My passion for traditions and legends continues to be more and more alive and I enjoy sharing it with visitors from Chiapas. I have shared it for 10 years, receiving very positive comments. WATERFALLS OF BLUE WATER, CASCADA DE MISOL-HÁ - PALENQUE ARCHAEOLOGICAL AREA - DEPARTING FROM SAN CRISTÓBAL DE LAS CASAS CHIAPAS Departure at 4:00 am at the hotel reception, the first stop in the city of Ocosingo, at the restaurant for breakfast (not included). Then we will go to the Agua Azul waterfalls, a wonderful natural resource that has turquoise blue waterfalls that reaches 20 meters, with a 2-hour tour. We continue with the excursion to the Misol-Ha Waterfall, impressive waterfall that reaches 25 mtrs high, an ideal place to cool off by having 1 hour to visit this beautiful place. Then we will continue with the tour visiting the Z.A. from Palenque, where we will know the archaeological remains of the Mayan culture, made up of its exuberant natural wealth, with a 2-hour tour. Adventure on Motorcycle to a Hidden Waterfall!
We will travel on the original Pan-American highway, one of the most beautiful and diverse roads in the state! We'll start in the mountainous forest, traverse indigenous villages, navigate through jungle and farmland before stopping at the rarely visited, local waterfall and cave of El Chorreadero. (Bring a bathing suit!) Riding time is approx. 3 hours, 175km. If you'd just like to relax and take in the views, you may be a passenger with an experienced guide. If you are an experienced rider and would like to ride on your own, we offer a Honda CGL 125, a Honda XR190L, or a 400cc Royal Enfield Himalayan (+500 pesos.) All are manual/standards. This route is suitable for beginners and entirely on road. If you have experience and would like to bring a pillion, they may join with no extra charge.
