Nevis Island Road Trip

On our road trip we leave plenty of flexibility and space for spontaneity. It's all about the journey, not the destination! We stay open to possibilities, explore the path less wandered, and allow the experience to unfold. Choose to explore the best of Nevis' historical sites, or customize your trip to suit your interests. Want to see all the best beaches? Go on a rum-punch tasting tour? Go shopping? Visit the local villages, local bars? If you're not sure, then leave it up to me! This is a casual, down-to-earth trip for the unconventional traveler who likes getting off the beaten track and immersing in the local culture. You will feel less like a tourist and more like you are being shown around by a fun and reliable local friend!
Romney Manor/Beach Tour
As you travel through Basseterre, your tour guide will point out the historical sites of Berkeley Memorial, Immaculate Conception Catholic Cathedral, Independence Square, and The War Memorial. Upon arrival at Romney Manor, you will set foot on grounds dating back to the 1600s. Located at Romney Manor is the largest living organism in St. Kitts, a 400-year-old Saman tree. Adjacent to Romney Manor is Wingfield Estate which was owned by the great-great-great grandfather of Thomas Jefferson. Caribelle Batik, a producer of fine batik products is located at Wingfield Estate. Wingfield Estate is one of four places on St. Kitts that has a 17th century Amerindian petroglyphs. The Wingfield watershed is a natural resource that deposits water into the Wingfield River, that provides the island with a portion of its water requirement. Timothy Hill Overlook, is the next stop where you will take in breathtaking panoramic views of the island. Cockleshell Beach is the final stop on the tour.
Beach Adventure Tour
Experience St. Kitts/Nevis island life through the exploration of the island's beautiful beaches. As you travel through Basseterre, your tour guide will point out the historical sites of Berkeley Memorial, Immaculate Conception Catholic Cathedral, Independence Square, The War Memorial, St. Peter's Village and many other treasured historical sites. Your next stop is a drive through of Keys/Cayon Village where you will witness local life. Walking Meditation Rainforest Hike, Volcanic Hot Springs
More than a hike! Led by an experienced Yoga/Meditation instructor and Inspired by the words of the revered Zen Buddhist monk Thich Nhat Hanh, you will be guided to approach this scenic hike as a Mindfulness Meditation, quieting the noise in your head, reducing stress, and inspiring a deep inner awareness and communion with Mother Nature. After a moderate hike through the lush healing vibes of the rainforest, we will continue our meditation surrounded by the tranquil sounds of a small waterfall. Bring your swimsuit if you'd like to take a plunge in its refreshing pool! After the hike, we will travel to Charlestown and take a soothing dip in the Volcanic Hot Springs. Amanda will guide you through some therapeutic stretches and self-massage techniques that will help ease away any soreness from the hike.
St. Kitts Panoramic Tour
As you travel through Basseterre, your tour guide will point out the historical sites of Berkeley Memorial, Immaculate Conception Catholic Cathedral, Independence Square, and The War Memorial. Upon arrival at Fairview's Great House and Botanical Garden, you will enjoy a guided walk around the great house which is believed to have been initially built in 1701 by the French. This Great House has had many owners and inhabitants over the years, each leaving their mark and contributing to the unique history of the property and Botanical Gardens. The next stop is Brimstone Hill Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Timothy Hill Overlook is the final stop on the tour, you will embrace a 360-degree view includes the Atlantic Ocean, the Caribbean Sea, Friar’s and Frigate Bays, and Nevis.
