Sloths Watching Tour through Sloth's Territory
Sloth’s Territory is a private reserve located in El Tanque, less than 10 minutes away from La Fortuna downtown (Arenal Volcano). The place, managed by the Rodriguez Perez Family, it’s a truly gem with vibrant flora & fauna. The observation hike, a truly enigmatic experience is developed through a safe path. this trail runs the reserve along La Havana River, and offers the opportunity to observe many kind of animals in it’s natural habitat. Two & three-toed sloths, opossums, red frogs, porcupines, different kind of birds such as; Toucans, Tanagers, Royal Flycatchers, Hummingbirds, Parrots, Honeycreepers, Cinnamon Woodpeckers, enrich the activity. Our expert guide will carefully show you, all our different attractions and will give you through a unique lifetime experience. Night Walk Around The Arenal Volcano
This activity will take you to know the wonderful nocturnal secrets of the tropical rainforest accompanied by a Naturalist Guide. We will visit the trails of one of the best areas of La Fortuna to observe the local flora and fauna at the foot of the Arenal Volcano, Senderos and Mirador El Silencio. We will enter the forest in search of the hourglass frog, the Blue Jeans frog, the largest frog in the country, the “Chicken Eater Frog” and the most beautiful in Costa Rica, the red-eyed tree frog. Also in this place it is possible to observe some species of leaf insects, stick insects, snakes, such as the eyelash viper, snails, Velveteens, the Stone Hand Viper and coral snakes, some mammals such as sloths, opossums and anteaters.
Rio Celeste Full-Day Tour From La Fortuna
On this tour you will go to the Tenorio Volcano National Park. In this park you will witness the rare phenomena of the blue river. The hike itself is medium tough and takes about 4 hours. It takes you to the stunningly beautiful waterfall, a high lookout point and the place where you can see the river change color. After the hike you will enjoy lunch and have some free time to take a quick dip in the river before heading back to La Fortuna.

Our adventure begins when we pick you up at your hotel in our comfortable passenger van. (Please note pick up will be ONLY in La Fortuna area hotels;. The pick up time depends on the Hotel location). Then we travel to our private farm located next to the Arenal Volcano and National Park where you will have wonderful views of the biodiversity of the area. Here you will be introduced to our professional bi-lingüal guide who will give you all the information you will need to begin your adventure. Hanging Bridges, Arenal Volcano, Waterfall, Hot Springs Full day
We start visiting the hanging bridges of Mistico park. The guide is with you to help you learn about the ecosystem. Hiking over the bridges and trails you enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding forest, Arenal volcano and lake. From here we take a short drive to the park that's right at the foot of the volcano. We hike a trail through the big lava rocks from the '68 eruption Here we reach a viewpoint with amazing views of the Arenal volcano, the surrounding lava fields and the Northern valley. We then stop at a restaurant where they serve a wide variety of local-style dishes. Now it's time to get wet. A 20minuts hike through a jungle staircase takes you into a deep canyon to the immense la Fortuna waterfall. You can swim in the refreshing pool of the waterfall and hang around on the big rocks to relax for a while. Having experienced all of this you can choose if you want to join us on a visit to a small hot springs resort. To add to the fun we pour some typical style cocktails.
