Walking Tour of Exmouth in East Devon
On one side of Exmouth Beach, the red sandstone cliffs ascend to Orcombe Point, the official start of the Jurassic Coast – the only natural UNESCO World Heritage Site in England. On the other side, the vibrant Exe Estuary sits teeming with birdlife, a fairly flat cycle path connecting Exmouth with the quaint village of Lympstone, the historic port of Topsham and leading all the way up to Exeter. In the middle are countless stories of swashbuckling local pirates, smugglers offloading illicit contraband into East Devon, famous residents who found inspiration and solace in the beautiful ocean scenery and a bustling tourism industry, which was the first of its kind in the county and still prospers today. In my walking tours, I explore Exmouth’s past, present and future, detailing the most fascinating stories from the town’s history with plenty of local recommendations for things to see and do while you’re in town.

This unique coastal tour starts with pick up at your accommodation. It embraces this stunning diverse, coastline. We travel to one of the most spectaculer views in the South West, that of Burgh Island and the famous Burgh Island Hotel with its beach causeway and unique sea tractor. Onto Slapton Sands and "Slapton Ley" a stretch of water kept immune from the sea by a slim shingle causeway. Learn about its dark secret from World War II and be mesmerised by over 3 x miles of beach. Learn how we are trying to defend our small local communities form ever rising sea levels and how ultimately there will probably be only one winner. We then past Blackpool Sands and onto Dartmouth and the mouth of the Dart estuary with its famous "gun castles" on either side, its Norman Church and then into Dartmouth home of the Brittania Naval College. 7 Hours Full Day Tour of West Dorset
Discover the ancient designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty that is West Dorset. Visit the pearl of Dorset (Lyme regis) and embrace its rich heritage and incredible scenery. You can hunt for fossils in Lyme or at our next destination in Charmouth. You'll also get to have a look around the heritage centre where impressive fossils are displayed. We will then visit one of the counties best located pubs where you can have a drink and get some lunch before exploring the ancient feel of Symondsbury. Sea Kayak or SUP Taster Tour 90 Minutes for 4 People
Our Taster Tours are a great way for accessing the marine environment and not staying in the shelter of Babbacombe Bay with the added safety of an instructor. You will receive all training you need to safely access the water in confidence and as a beginner. Advanced options are available in advanced craft if you wish to raise your paddling level or try a new type of craft to your regular choice. All tours are guided by a senior expert and tours can be booked at any time of day or in the proposed timed slot.
