Day Tour to Danube's Gorge
Our route starts from Timisoara, in a southerly direction, towards the Danube river, which is Europe's second-longest river. It is a long driving road but it surely worth to be crossed. During this trip, we will enjoy one of the most spectacular parts of Romania. Our departure will be early in the morning. We will drive through the spectacular Danube’s Gorge where we will see the Decebal’s Rock. The rock sculpture of Decebalus is a 42.9 m in height and 31.6 m in width carving in the rock of the face of Decebalus, the last king of Dacia, who fought against the Roman emperors Domitian and Trajan to preserve the independence of his country, which corresponded to modern Romania. Here we will discover also unique landscapes created by nature. Then we will admire the beauty of mountains, the protected area situated in the administrative territory of Bozovici. Late in the evening, we will return in Timisoara.
