2-hour Outer Banks Wild Horse Tour by 4WD Truck
The Bender family continues a 50 year tradition of traveling in open air style safari vehicles north of Corolla along the ocean and sand dunes on a 2 hour, small group, excursion sharing history and ecology along the way. We stop for several photo opportunities and points of interests along the way, as well including private access to the Wild Horse Conservation Area. This tour also includes a professional and knowledgeable horse guide to educate you on what you are seeing. Choose from one of 3 departure times when you book. The maximum will be TWELVE (12) people. If you have more than 12 people please call us directly for accommodations. We will NOT be able to allow any children UNDER 45 POUNDS on the tour.

We are the only kayak rental company right next to the Kitty Hawk Woods Coastal Preserve. This paddling area is hands down one of the best family ecotours experiences to be had on the islands of the OBX. A beginner friendly environment explores a calm, glassy creek that meanders through the natural glory of one of North Carolina’s largest track of deciduous maritime forest habitat. We have a flotilla of sit in and sit on top kayaks for your paddling pleasure. We also have specialty fishing kayaks and sea kayaks for the Hard Core paddler.
Pirate City Ghosts
Adventure through the most terrifying areas on the beachfront where you’ll find yourself at the same haunted locations where Outer Banks’ most notable apparitions have been spotted. This seemingly quaint and quiet beach town is home to some of the most intriguing and spine-tingling tales that include formidable ghost ships, distraught apparitions, and the incredible story of Sir Walter Raleigh and the Lost Colony of Roanoke. Our local and knowledgeable guide will take you to some of the most chilling spots in the Outer Banks. Our guide will tell tales steeped with history and how that history returns at night and frightens the locals. Out guide will tell tales of true hauntings and first hand accounts of the paranormal activity plaguing the area. This tour is a walking tour. The duration of the tour is approximate and includes the time it takes to walk to and from each paranormal spot. We do not go into public or private residences on this tour.
Alligator River Kayak Adventure
Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge is a 125,000 acre wildlife preserve managed by the United States Fish & Wildlife Service. This incredible wildlife corridor was also home to an old logging and whiskey distilling community during Prohibition. Who knew the OBX had black bear and endangered red wolves? Also see snowy egrets, great blue herons, and turtles.
