Shark Cage Diving and Viewing from Hermanus
You may think you’re a fear-defying thrill lover, but can you handle the ultimate heart-pounding experience? Find out in Gansbaai by cage diving with various shark species. This full-day shark-diving experience takes you out into the open ocean off the shore of Gansbaai and puts you in their habitat. Before jumping in, you'll learn about the sharks from the onboard marine biologist and expert guides. Breakfast, snacks and Hermanus hotel pick-up and drop-off are included.
Marine Big 5 Safari with transport from Hermanus
We operate from Gansbaai around the world-famous Dyer Island where you might be so fortunate to see the Marine Big 5 – the Southern Right Whale/Humpback/Bryde’s Whales, various shark species, the Cape fur seal (around 60 000 on Geyser Rock), the endangered African Penguin and various visiting dolphin species. After 20 years of photographing and observing the behavioural patterns of the Southern Right Whales that visit Walker Bay annually, I consider myself a Whale behavioural specialist and I offer a unique and interactive land based whale watching experience, that includes sharing knowledge and personal stories spanning over two decades. During my time photographing these spectacular mammals, it became a dream of mine to publish a photographic coffee table book. We'll offer a relaxing and wine-filled experience, allowing for enough time to enjoy the picturesque Hemel-en-Aarde (Heaven and Earth) Valley. The Valley itself boasts over 16 renowned wine farms, most of which fall under the official Wine Route. These farms all offer their visitors a variety of renowned and award-winning wines that are usually paired with specialised canapés or accompany delicious dishes and desserts. The Tour is aimed at giving visitors an idea of the diversity of wines that the farms can produce.
Whale Watching Walking Tours (Land-Based) - from JUNE 2024
Re-Opens from - 10th JUNE 2024 WHALE WATCHING WALKING TOURS - in Hermanus, South Africa - - Whale Watching Walking Tours of Hermanus take you on a gentle walk along our very scenic paved walk-ways of the pretty coastal cliff tops for 2 to 3 hours, with our experienced Whale Watching Tour Guide who will take you to all the hidden coves and inlets that the Whales love to frolic in and due to the cliffs being vertical, means that the Whales can literally be only a few metres away from you. A visit to our Whale museum will start the tour. (Entrance fee included in your tour fee). The location schedule will take in 5 to 7 separate spots that are 2 to 4 kms apart so you will travel to each spot by luxury 7 seater kombi minibus (larger vehicles available) and then wander around each location. Tours are conducted at any time of the day that suits you. MINIMUM group size is = 2 persons
