Reims afternoon tour Champagne and family growers
Meet your local guide at 2.00 pm in front of the tourist office of Reims Centre train station and start your afternoon with a drive through the countryside. Visit a family-run winery, discover the traditional press and tank room as your guide details the champagne making process. Appreciate several tastings of their production. Appreciate a stop in the vineyard, with breathtaking views on the UNESCO world’s heritage Champagne vines and gain knowledge about the particularities of our “terroir”. Drive through the village of Hautvillers and visit the church where Dom Pérignon is buried. Finish your tour with a visit at another family-run winery where you will be able to taste and compare various cuvées. After an afternoon full of precious souvenirs, your guide will drop you off in front of Reims centre train station between 6.30 pm and 7.00 pm.

Be welcomed at a typical Champagne House, Le Clos Corbier. Take part in a fun workshop on Champagne and become an expert taster in this famous sparkling wine ! Enjoy a traditional lunch made of regional specialties paired with a variety of champagnes wines . Visit a family-run winery : discover the traditional press, tank room and cellars of an authentic champagne grower. Enjoy several tastings of their best–seller “cuvees”. After a day full of experiences, your guide will drop you off in front of the tourist office of Epernay at 5.15 pm.

Meet your guide in front of the tourist office in Epernay at 9:35am. Drive by the Avenue de Champagne in Epernay and go to Le Clos Corbier: your e-bikes will be ready for you to ride. Cycle through premier and grand cru villages, enjoy breathtaking views on the UNESCO world’s heritage vines of Champagne. Discover the village of Hautvillers, birthplace of Champagne and finish with a visit of the church where Dom Pérignon is buried. Cycle alongside the Marne canal to make your way back to Le Clos Corbier, visit the cellars, taste different champagnes from the family domaine and learn about the champagne making process. Enjoy a traditional lunch, made of regional specialties paired with champagnes : pâté croute, quiche, lentils, cheeses... After a day full of memories, your guide will drop you off at 3:15pm in Epernay. Electric bikes are heavier than regular bikes, it is required to be used to riding bikes. In case of bad weather the tour will be operated by minibus instead.
