Our excursion is departing from Valencia city to discover the largest underground river in Europe. We will pick you up from the meeting points in Valencia. Choose one at the moment you make the reservation. We will drive after colletion to La Vall D'uixo, after 45 minutes, we will arrive. You will have time to use WC and eat breakfast (N.I) All tour will be guided by an official tourist guide and inside the caves the boatmans/boatwomans, will discover us the history of the cave and the river. This is a day trip to the Utiel-Requena wine region of about 6.5-7 hours. Your guide is a sommelier specialised in Valencian wines, who will tell you about the history of wine in Valencia region, about the grape varieties, and a lot more! We’ll first go to the picturesque village of Requena, where we’ll visit some 9th century caves. These were used for storing cereals, meat and wine; the beautiful old clay pots are still there. Our next stop is an authentic 19th century winery, where we'll do a guided tour, starting in the vineyards, and following the wine making process from "grape to bottle". We will walk through the spectacular Turia Canyon, to the Loriguilla reservoir. We cross the reservoir along a foresttrack. After the track we continue climbing, until we reach the Vallfigueras ravine. We will arrive at a point where a phyta (pile of stones) indicates the path, which leads us to the prehistoric cave Rock Paintings!
