Enjoy the peace of the delta in a Mokoro, stop for a picnic lunch meal on one of the islands before your guide takes you on an nature walk where we hope to see more animals. The Moremi Game Reserve one day game drive is ideally suited for those that do not have the time nor the appetite to camp overnight. The tour involves full day of touring parts of this mighty reserve in search for animals. Your guide will also interpret nature to you in a unique manner and show you traditional and medicinal uses of wild plants in the Delta.

The mokoro or makoro - (mekoro, plural), is a traditional canoe-like vessel commonly used in the Okavango Delta as a popular mode of transport, and now utilized for game viewing safaris. The makoro has become the iconic symbol of the Delta and is a popular way for visitors to explore the Okavango while on safari. Originally, the only form of transport for fishing or transporting people and goods around the channels, these canoe-like vessels, approximately 20 feet or 6 meters in length, used to be crafted from tree trunks, which were painstakingly hollowed out using hand tools.
