Aurora Camp is located on a hilltop near Murphy Dome, one of the best Northern Lights viewing areas near Fairbanks and a favorite spot for many Aurora photographers. During this tour, you'll sit in a cozy, warm Alaskan-style cabin and watch the Northern Lights. There is no artificial light pollution or obstructed view. The cabin has six huge windows facing the north, with a view of over 180°. Northern Lights and Chena Hot Springs Tour from Fairbanks

Sit back and relax and enjoy the 60 mile journey to Chena Hot Springs Resort. After arrival, take a guided tour of the Aurora Ice museful. Then enjoy some dinner in the resort's restaurant (not included in price) and take a dip in the outdoor mineral rock pool or just explore the grounds while you wait to see if the lights appear. Your guide will lead your group out to the springs and explain the most ideal viewing locations, where you can wait for a chance to glimpse the multicolored display in the sky. Round-trip transport from Fairbanks or North Pole hotels, entry to the ice museum and hot springs is included. Note: the resort does not allow children under 18 in the outside rock pool. However, they may use the indoor pool under adult supervision.

We work exclusively with local, passionate mushers who view their dog teams as their family, and you will have the chance to understand this incredible sport on your hourlong ride through the snowy forest. You will ride on a genuine dogsled, either seated or standing, as the team of 8 dogs swings through the forest with you and your guide at a comfortable but thrilling pace. You will also have the chance to see the dog kennels, and a replica of a dog-sled race checkpoint, where the competitive mushers stop for fuel and rest on their long winter races. On your reindeer tour, our experienced reindeer handlers will introduce you to the herd of reindeer at Borealis Basecamp, and you will go for a short, comfortable walk through the forest with these incredible animals. OThe tour ends at the reindeer pen, where you will be able to feed the reindeer some of their favorite treats with a final photo shoot!

Other tours offer “free portraits” but not to the level of expertise that Nathan will provide, he uses controlled supplemental studio lighting to achieve unmatched quality and sharpness with techniques he developed over 7 years of painstaking practice, specifically in aurora portraiture. We also provide you with complementary gear to help keep you warm and safe: insulated over boots, hand/toe warmers, headlamps, ice crampons for traction, water bottles etc. But what everything boils down to is great photos. The photos speak for themselves and we want to get you some of your OWN!! Not only will you have a top tier photographer as a guide but Nathan also has more than 20 years of Alaska backcountry artic survival skills and offers expertise in all things Alaska adventure.
Arctic Circle Expedition from Fairbanks
This is a small, private tour to the Arctic Circle. Passengers will be riding in a comfy 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander and brand new winter tires. Scheduling on the website is a bit tricky and doesn't allow for next day returns, just keep in mind the trip will take 10-12 hours depending on weather and how much time you'd like to spend at each location. We'll be travelling through mountain passes, river valleys, and possibly seeing the Northern Lights along the way. This tour is flexible and allows for you to request a stop anywhere along the way to stretch your legs, take photos, or even just enjoy the views.
