one day Guided ourika trip from marrakech

When the heat in Marrakesh becomes unbearable, many Moroccans and tourists make a dash for the wonderful coolness and green of the verdant Ourika Valley.
Located in the High Atlas Mountains, only 45 minutes away from Marrakesh, the valley stretches along a vast area from Souk Tnin Ourika to the Berber village of Setti Fatma.
You can picnic at the valley or hike up to the famous seven waterfalls. It is an easy hike, accompanied by an official guide, although it can take between 45 minutes – 3 hours depending on how adventurous you want to be. If you’re interested in the longer walk, be sure to take good walking shoes. You can take a break and eat at a cafe next to the falls.
The valley is known for its pine and cedar forests. Don’t be surprised if you see some resident friendly Barbary apes on your way. The village of Setti Fatma is famous for its pottery and its minerals. A large Berber souk (country market) is held on Mondays.
