Meet at beautiful Dominion Park where your guides will lead the group through gearing up, introductions, and a safety overview. We'll launch into the beautiful South Bay region of the Saint John River (traditionally referred to as the Wolastoq). The on water portions of the tour follow the highlights of our River Relics experience, giving you an overview of the "recent" history of Southeast New Brunswick. Photo opportunities abound, with stops to view pre-Cambrian fossils, a bald eagles nest, a 17th century lime quarry, and a 19th century lighthouse, not to mention the stunning scenery of the river at sunset. We'll stop a a beach mid tour, where we'll gather around a bon-fire for some food, conversation, and storytelling. Sip locally foraged tea while baking your own traditional Bannock. Enjoy a locally sourced smoked sturgeon sampler and light seasonal appetizer platter. The return paddle, with any luck, will be on calm waters by the light of the moon and stars. Magical!
