Cacao Road Excursion : plantations, processes, tasting and more

You journey will start in the north of the island, with few short stops (roça Agostinho Neto, roça Bela Vista, Blue Lagoon) before reaching the roça Diogo Vaz. whre you will start learning about cocoa prodiction. You will discover how cocoa is cultivated, and taste fresh cocoa beans (depending on availability). Then you will visit the transformation center, where beans are collected, fermented, dried and then bagged for exportation. Then you may enjoy a coffee break with chocolate tasting in the newly renovated colonial house. After lunch (few options to be discussed before departure), you will enjoy sightseeing in the Northern area (Santa Catarina Tunnel, infinity road..) and go back to the Capital for a guided tasting with world famous chocolate maker Claudio Corallo (Usually at 16h30). Once achieved, we will gently give you a ride to your hotel.
