The legend says that Zeus, the father of the gods, sent two eagles from the ends of the universe, which met at the foot of the mount Parnassos, in the site of Delphi. Since then and throughout antiquity, Delphi was considered the “navel of the world”. There, the ancient Greeks worshiped Apollo, the god of the sun and music. The sanctuary also served as an oracle. People from all over the ancient world flocked to Delphi to receive an oracle from Pythia, the eccentric priestess of the god. Delphi has many stories to tell, stories that the Culture App presents to you in the most vivid way.
