We secure lodging, while guests pay for rooms upon check in.  If lodging at Chico Hot Springs is not available at the time of booking, lodging will be arranged in Gardiner, MT, specific property dependent on availability. 

The two day format allows for ample time to enjoy the many wildlife encounters, as well as numerous short hikes and boardwalk excursions throughout the tour.

For Tour Dates BEFORE May 14, since the South Entrance is closed, Tours will drive from Jackson to West Yellowstone to enter through the West Gate. Thus, we will not tour through Grand Teton Park from Apr 16-May 13.

Throughout the day we will drive scenic roads, walk historic boardwalks, enjoy the peace of natural landscapes and use our optics to view wildlife. Your guide is your driver, and their goal is to cover as many of Yellowstone’s famous features as they can in a day.

This hike has spectacular scenery from start to finish, encompassing two major waterfalls, a big river, the magnificent Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, and a trail that cuts in and out of a forest! We'll pass right next to the top of the Upper Yellowstone Falls, where you feel you can just about touch the thundering water as the Yellowstone River plunges into the canyon below! The Lower Yellowstone Falls is the other large waterfall we'll visit, and if the group is up to the steep climb back up, we'll take the path to the brink of the lower falls. We'll see other, smaller, waterfalls along the trail, as we meander through a forest of lodgepole pine trees. You'll find that the vistas are amazing, and the main viewpoints we will stop at include Grand View Point, Lookout Point and Inspiration Point. The trail is about 3.3 miles or 5.3 kilometres long, and depending how often we stop, and the side trails we take, the hike should take 2.5 to four hours, excluding the drive there and back.

The South Rim of the Grand Canyon trail is one of Yellowstone's most spectacular shorter hikes. The trail is about 1.7 miles (2.8 kilometers) long, and makes its way in and out of a forest, as it follows the Yellowstone River through the majestic Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. We'll take in two spectacular waterfalls along the way, Yellowstone's Upper Falls and Yellowstone's Lower Falls. The hike ends at the aptly named Artist Point, which provides the best views of the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone.

Note that there are some small inclines and descents on this trail, which is at elevation.
