During the 75-minute self-guided audio walking tour, visitors will gain a unique perspective on the lives of the enslaved people on a Louisiana sugar plantation, learning their stories through the real oral histories recorded by the Federal Writers Project during the Depression.

As you board the luxury passenger van, you will be instantly treated like a celebrity. Leather seats and a comfortable ride await you. As we pick up other guests around the city, you will be given a mini-tour of the city or you may watch a film about other plantations to prepare you for your tour. While you are on the van, be prepared to be entertained by the driver! You will not just sit in silence or listen to the engine of the van.

This is a private tour with up to 12 passengers. You will have the chance to spend an afternoon exploring some of the most visited plantations in America, and be enlightened by a host of other attractions along the way. including a brief history lesson on Louisiana Swamp water ways and Bayous.

While traveling out to the plantation he or she points out interesting facts along the way, listening to various types of New Orleans jazz music.
Upon arrival at the plantation, they will check you in and give you information for the beginning to the end of the tour, such as what to explore after the tour and where to meet once the tour is over.
The self guided tour is one hour fifteen minutes, we allow our guest time to explore the museum and use the restroom before heading back into the city.
This tour goes out twice at 8:00 a.m. to approximately 1:30p.m. and 10:00 a.m. to approximately 3:30 p.m. this time includes tour and travel time.
