The Polin Museum of the History of Polish Jews is one of the most important museums in Warsaw. On this private tour of this modern cultural institution you will get a detailed review of the over 1000 years long history of Jewish people in Poland.

This is an extended option of the Warsaw city tour.

After Warsaw city tour (where you can admire palaces and pavilions, drive along Royal Route, walk in the Old Town - a site on the UNESCO cultural heritage list - see the houses where Madame Curie was born and where Chopin lived) - and after lunch, we will drive to the suburbs of Warsaw to visit the interior of Wilanow Palace built in the 17th century by king Sobieski who defeated Turks in the battle of Vienna. Later belonging to aristocrat families, the palace became one of the very first museums in Poland.

This splendid Baroque palace (often called Polish Versailles) survived all wars, so you can still see its original interiors and stroll in its charming park in English and Italian style.

On Tuesdays closed, on Wednesdays reserved only for educator's guiding.

During this tour I will show you places where Jews, who before WWII made 30% of the whole population of Warsaw, lived and perished during the holocaust. You can still see preserved remnants of former ghetto walls, installation showing the bridge connecting small and big ghetto, monuments to Warsaw ghetto heroes, Umschlagplatz, from which Warsaw Jews were deported to Treblinka extermination camp in 1942, still functioning Jewish cemetery and Nozyk synagogue, the only one which survived the war. We shall also see Jewish Historical Institute, prewar Judaistic Library, and the Museum of the History of Polish Jews, called Polin.

This tour focuses on visiting places connected with lasting for centuries Jewish presence in Poland. You can see still functioning Jewish cemetery; Nozyk Synagogue which survived WWII; remaining part of the ghetto wall; installation of the bridge connecting small and big ghetto; Umschlagplatz memorial at the former station from which Jews were deported to the death camp; Rappaport monument dedicated to heroes of the ghetto; and Polin, the Museum of the History of Polish Jews.
