The lake has a surface area of 2,700 square kilometers in the dry season, but can expand to 16,000 square kilometers in the wet season. This is because the Mekong River floods the lake during the rainy season, and the water flows back into the river in the dry season.

This small group tour will take you to a pleasant sunset cruise into Tonle Sap Lake while you immerse yourself in Cambodian culture.  En route the boat dock to the lake, we’ll stop first at Wat Athvea, a 12th century less touristy temple built by the same workers who have helped put up the Angkor Wat.  We will then take the boat ride through Chong Kneas floating village where you will get a chance to see village life along Tonle Sap’s floodplains.  Enjoy a tranquil sunset at a secluded spot in the lake while enjoying a sip of local drinks.  End the tour as we take you back to your hotel after sunset.   

Day 01: Rolous Group & Angkor Wat
You will be picked up at hotel and taken to Roluos Group such as Bakong, PrahKo, Lolei and Angkor Wat
Day02: Banteay Srey- Preh Khan
You visit Banteay Srey well known for its beautiful delicate carvings in warm pink sandstone. Banteay Samre – a larger temple which is often overlooked by tourists and looks gorgeous. Neak Porn Temple, a small island temple located in the middle of the last baray. Next, visit Preah Khan Temple is a huge, highly explorable monastic complex.
Day 03: Angkor Thom City & Taprohm
You visit South Gate of Angkor Thom. Bayon temple. Baphoun, dedicated to Siva (Hindu), Phimean Akas, built in late tenth century-beginning of the 11th century and dedicated to Hindu, Terrace of the Elephants, Terrace of the Leper King. Then, visit the temple of Ta Prohm, ethereal in aspect and conjures up a romantic aura.
Day 04: Tonle Sap & City Tour
You visit Tonle Sap lake and Les Artisan D’Angkor, fine art School.

Enjoy a day tour as we will pick up from your hotel in Siem Reap and drive 15 km from Siem Reap to the boat docks of Chong Khneas. We will go aboard a local boat for a lovely ride onto the Tonle Sap through the floating villages of Chong Khneas and villages on high stilts. This tour will take you to two different villages along the Tonle Sap floodplains. Discover the distinctive flow cycle of the Tonle Sap Lake and how this fact makes it Cambodia’s most important economic and ecological resource.  By visiting Chong Kneas floating villages and market, Kopong Phluk with mangrove forest and Kompong Phluk is the village on high stilts, gain insights to how villagers uniquely live in harmony in this uncommon setting over/on water. Spend about 5 to 6 hours by the lake and its floodplains for this enriching cultural experience.
