This is a fantastic opportunity for those with a short time in Christchurch to go and experience sealed and/or metal road riding in New Zealand. The recommended route twists through rural New Zealand and often features sheep and lots of waves from friendly farmers and motorcyclists alike.

There's a combination of eclectic townships to stop at along the way and plenty of opportunities to take incredible photos that will make your friends back home jealous!

The route is only a recommended route and people are allowed to travel on any legal roads during this tour.

Some of our motorcycles can take a pillion passenger, which you can add to your experience for a small extra charge. Please enquire about this before booking.

Please be aware, that to take this tour you must: hold a current motorcycle licence and be able to place a deposit on a credit card for the duration of the experience.

This is a private small group tour for up to 11 people. The route around Christchurch and Lyttelton takes you over the old volcanoes of Banks Peninsula with varied scenery onto some of the smaller, less traveled roads to some uniquely scenic places. With approximately 6 hours 30 min from start to finish we will spend about 5 hours 30 min exploring points of interest etc. and an hour driving from point to point on the itinerary. We are happy to customise your tour to include attractions such as the International Antarctic Centre or Willowbank Wildlife Park (cost extra) , etc. We are locals and give an in-depth commentary covering the volcanoes, NZ and local history, earthquakes etc. and have been proudly sharing our back yard with visitors for over 25 years.

Escape the crowds and enjoy an incredible day in the great outdoors, on this stunning guided Crater Rim Walk. Lyttelton harbour is nestled inside an extinct volcano crater. You will be met at Lyttleton Port by your guide, and transported in a 12-seater van to Sumner Beach for hot drinks at a cafe overlooking the ocean.

Godley Head Loop Track is undoubtedly one of the best hikes in Christchurch, an undulating track with breathtaking coastal views, historic WW2 landmarks, and quaint little beaches. The distance is 8 km / 5 miles, which takes around 3 hours to walk, with lots of time to stop and enjoy the scenery.

Morning tea is served at Godley Head, followed by a picnic lunch at Boulder Bay, a secluded beach, looking out over Pegasus Bay, and the majestic Southern Alps beyond. Seals, dolphins, and birds are often spotted.

After the walk, your guide will return you to Lyttleton Port, or if time allows you will also have the option of being dropped into Christchurch City to explore.

My coastal hiking tour is 4 hours in duration and can enjoy 3 hours of hiking and hear some of the history and geology of Banks Peninsula. I tailor the tour to suit the wishes and abilities of my guests. Within 20 minutes of the city centre you really feel like you are the only people to be out there. If the weather isnt looking good happy to adjust the start time to make the best of what the day offers.Whilst walking along the coastal track we can view sheep grazing, plenty of birdlife and spectacular coastal scenery and the far off mountains,. Walk as much or as little as you like to suit your level of fitness. My support vehicle can leap frog you as you walk and pick you up at any stage.At the conclusion as an option you can enjoy a homemade picnic largely harvested from my organic garden. We will choose a spot with great views and enjoy a leisurely lunch.Please add on an extra hour for lunch and $30 per person.

We then meet up again and transfer you back to Lyttleton by taking you over the Port Hills scenic lookout at The Sign of The Kiwi Café.
