We will spend the first part of the day in Auschwitz-Birkenau, the infamous symbol of Nazi domination in Europe. It was the largest extermination and concentration camp ever built on the old continent. From 1940 to 1945 the Germans imprisoned there almost 1.5 million people, the majority of whom were Jews. It is estimated that they murdered about 1.1 million people there.

After visiting Auschwitz, we will go for lunch in a nearby town and after a short drive we will reach Krakow. The former capital of Poland has its own unique atmosphere. There are no skyscrapers, but in Krakow you can literally breathe history. Here, until the 17th century, the seat of Polish kings was located, but the beginnings of the city date back to the end of the 9th century. Today, Krakow is the second largest city in Poland and one of its most important cultural centers.

Before the outbreak of the World War II, Poland was inhabited by one of the largest Jewish diasporas in Europe, with a total of about 3.5 million of Jews. They came to Krakow in the 11th century and when the World War II broke out they constituted over 25% of the city's population. Few managed to survive the Nazi extermination, but their religious and cultural achievements can still be admired in Kazimierz, one of the Krakow’s districts, where the Jewish quarter was located.

Full day tour to Krakow by Train
During this tour you will have to transfer to the train station. The guide picks you up at the station and gives you a guided walking tour around Krakow highlights with entrance to Wawel Cathedral and Tempel Synagogue.

Full day tour to Krakow by Car
During this tour you will be picked up, have tour to Krakow for a guided walking tour with entrance to Wawel Cathedral and Tempel Synagogue. Transfer back with drop off to your hotel.

It is the best tour for individual visitors and small groups (1-3 people) who have one day and want to visit Krakow. Our tour will start in Warsaw. In the morning you will catch a train (1st class) to Krakow. After ca. 2,5 hours of journey you will meet our guide at the Krakow Glowny train station. Walking Tour of Krakow will last 3 hours.

First you will go to the Central Square where are located Sukiennice (Cloth Hall), Barbakan fortifications and St Mary Church. You will go then along Grodzka historical street. It is one of the oldest in Krakow. It was a part of Royal Route. At the end of this street you will see a Wawel Hill with a Royal Castle. You will visit the Wawel Cathedral. After that you will also see the Collegium Maius, the oldest 15th century Ghotic building of the Jagiellonian University.

After a walking tour you will have some free time for lunch and souvenirs. Late afternoon you will catch a return train to Warsaw.

Upon arrival at Auschwitz-Birkenau, join a English guided tour provided by Auschwitz museum. Using a headset throughout the tour, explore the museum exhibition, barracks, and long rows of gas chamber chimneys. Much of the concentration camp is unchanged since liberation, and it offers a vivid glimpse of the wartime genocide carried out by German Nazis. We provide a transport between the Auschwitz and Birkenau, as well as a short break before the guided tour and in between the camps around 10-15 minutes. Following the tour of Auschwitz-Birkenau, begin the return trip to Krakow, where this excursion concludes with drop-off at your hotel.
