Colombia has almost 20% of species identified worldwide. It currently has 1,913 species, of which 76 are endemic.
This aviary contains 170 native bird species, 20 exotic bird species, and 2000 specimens. Three endemic species: Paujil piquiazul (Crax Alberti), Caribbean Guacharaca (Ortalis garrula), and the Colombian Guacharaca (Ortalis columbiana).
It has three species conservation and preservation programs
