This tour is 2-days of adventure seeing the best of the Cairns region. Explore the waterfalls, volcanic craters and lakes of the Atherton Tablelands with Waterfall Wanderers and then venture through the Daintree- the oldest rainforest in the world-to Cape Tribulation with Active Tropics Explorer.

Enjoy two fun filled days exploring the Great Barrier Reef, including a free introduction dive, a scenic tour on the glass bottom boat. Breakfast and lunch are included as well as a visit to the 'Oldest Rainforest on Earth' with a day tour to the stunning Daintree National Park, Cape Tribulation, Port Douglas and the magical Mossman Gorge. These tours are two must see attractions while visiting Cairns in the beautiful far Northern Queensland. Both tours are small group in nature and relaxed in true North Queensland style.

A Cape Tribulation day tour is something you must add to your Tropical North Queensland holiday. Marvel at guided rainforest walk at Mossman Gorge, visit Thornton Beach and enjoy morning tea. Embark on a Daintree River wildlife cruise allowing you to spot native wildlife. Visit the Daintree Discovery Centre and Heritage Lodge for lunch. Treat yourself at Daintree Icecream.

A guided walk through Mossman Gorge and an hour wildlife spotting tour along Daintree River, with lunch included and the option to enjoy your time at the Wildlife Habitat in Port Douglas (this option must be selected)

The 30min and 45min flight showcase the magic of the Great Barrier Reef. Departing over Port Douglas and 4 Mile Beach, other highlights include sights of Snapper Island, Cape Tribulation and the Daintree Rainforest in the distance. Be treated to a picture-postcard view of Low Isles and flying low over Batt Reef there are opportunities to spot stingrays, manta rays, turtles, sharks, dugongs (many at Batt Reef), dolphins and even whales in the winter months!

For those looking to make the most of their time in Port Douglas why not extend your flight to a 60-minute reef and rainforest scenic. Our first stop of the day is the Daintree Rainforest River Cruise, we jump aboard ‘Solar Whisper’ the only zero emission boat on the Daintree River. This whisper quiet boat can glide quietly up to crocodiles and other wildlife without scaring them or hurting their habitat. This boat is fitted with the unique “Croc Cam” to help show well camouflaged crocodiles and wildlife, this beautiful experience practices true Eco Tourism.

Our next stop is Mossman Gorge and the Daintree Rainforest ! A delicious healthy lunch is enjoyed at the Maya Cafe.

After lunch we meet the local indigenous guides for a smoking ceremony and a demonstration of traditional plant use and a body paint.

Following this your Sacred Owl Tour guide will lead you through the Daintree Rainforest, showcasing the unique plants, animals and features of the rainforest.

Your guide will lead you on a meandering stroll through stunning, lush rainforest, demonstrating traditional plant uses, and identifying bush food sources. Discover traditions like making bush soaps and ochre painting.

Lastly, Enjoy free time to swim in the crystal-clear waters of Mossman Gorge.

After your knowledgable and friendly guide picks you up from your Port Douglas accommodation, we start the day at Mossman Gorge (Daintree Rainforest) with a traditional Welcome to Country conducted by the local traditional Kuku Yalanji people, a guided rainforest walk and a refreshing rainforest swim.

We then travel to the Daintree River Wildlife Cruise where we can spot snakes, beautiful birds, and saltwater crocodiles. Followed by a paddock the plate lunch at the Daintree Saltwater Barramundi Farm.

We then visit a private property in the Daintree Rainforest for a short guided walk and optional refreshing dip underneath a waterfall. Indulge in freshly picked fruit from the Organic Tropical Fruit Farm, before the drive back to your Port Douglas accommodation.

This is a great tour for those who only want to spend a half-day out or are short on time. We visit two areas on this trip, Daintree River and Mossman Gorge.

We begin with a drive along the Captain Cook Highway, on the way to the Daintree River, and share a little history along the way.

Here, we board a cruise along the Daintree River, looking out for local wildlife, including the estuarine crocodile, snakes, birds, frogs, and more.

After the Wildlife Cruise, we enjoy morning tea with Lamingtons and tea/coffee.

Guided walk through the rainforest and coastal habitats learning about the environment, different foods and medicines utilized from nature, sample some bush tucker, collect shellfish and try traditional Aboriginal hunting practices, have a go at spear throwing and if you are lucky, catch a mud crab. Complete the adventure by cooling off in a pristine freshwater stream.
