On this tour, the boat ride through Folly Beach's most pristine marshlands is a must do and an adventure in itself. Along the way, your captain will teach you about our local estuary and the wildlife that inhabit it while you get to see them up close, including bottlenose dolphins. Once at Morris Island you will be able to enjoy a quiet beach, look for the various sea shells and sand dollars that scatter the area, take in the stunning views of the lighthouse and maybe come across a shark's tooth! You will get to explore the island for approximately 1 hour before getting back on the boat.

As we make our way through the creeks to Morris Island, you will have the opportunity to see dolphins and wading birds in the marsh and oyster beds. We will land on the south end of Morris Island, near the Lighthouse, where you will have 90 minutes to walk the beach on your own to look for shells, shark teeth and fossils. As we make our way back to the dock, you will likely see dolphins as the inlet behind the island is one of their favorite places to hang out.

This tour has something for everyone, while we visit the most picturesque spots outside the limits in the Lowcountry. Get your dose of lighthouses, beaches, piers, forts and endless history. You will quickly understand how important the Charleston area is in American history, while taking in the ocean breeze.

First, we travel to Folly Beach to visit the lighthouse, beach and pier. Next, a drive through historical Citadel Military college. Then, on to Sullivan's Island, and to stroll the grounds of Fort Moultrie, out to the beach, and the best view of Charleston from the water. Finally, the lighthouse.

On this trip, we will cruise through the local tidal creeks behind Folly Beach to see how many of these amazing creatures we can spot. From a distance, you will get to experience the unique feeding techniques and socializing behaviors that our dolphins display out in the wild. Along the way, your experienced guide will teach you all about the natural wonders of our salt marsh and Estuary. You will also get to pass by the historic Morris Island Lighthouse during the trip, a great photo opportunity!

Folly Beach Folly: Private 1/2 day Tour at the Beach!

Explore Folly Island from head to toe. Most Charleston visitors don't even realize our area has beautiful beaches! And Folly Beach will make you feel as if you've been transported to Key West! Arrive in style in my 2021 Mercedes Sprinter van, put your sun and surf clothes on, and soak in this surfer beach town. This is a private tour that can take 1-10 people.

Our adventure takes us out on a 1/2 mile walk to the northern end of Folly, with a beautiful vista of Morris Island Lighthouse. This is where several scenes from Outer Banks is filmed. Next, walk the boardwalk into the ocean on Folly Beach Pier. Margaritas or ice cream anyone? Then, I will set you loose on the town to enjoy surfer shops. Taco Boy is my suggestion, but lunch is up to you. Finally, a drive to the south end of Folly, and the county park.

Customize your adventure in advance and add additional hours. You can even rent beach chairs and enjoy the surf.
