Discover the Wasserschloss, which translates into Water Palace. Built in the 20th century for the German Customs Union’s duty-free area, this building formed the center of the harbour city and served as sleeping quarters for the harbour workers.

Get to know the iconic Elbphilharmonie, in the modern HafenCity area.It is one of the largest and most vanguardist concert venues in the world, and its new glass construction calls out to the sea, as it is similar to a sail or a water wave.

The starting point of the tour is the church with the highest church tower in the city - St. Michael's Church was considered the city's landmark for years. From here you explore Hamburg's west and walk towards the modern Elbphilharmonie, the "concert hall of superlatives". Your guide will show you the various buildings and have anecdotes from Hamburg personalities as well as gastronomic tips ready.
