Hiking Wat Phra That Doi Suthep. It is a heavily trafficked round-trip monk trail located near Chiang Mai city that features a waterfall and is rated moderate. While many tourists don't know about this trail, it's pretty popular among ex-pats who live in Chiang Mai to hike up to the Doi Suthep temple (Wat Phra That Doi Suthep) along what's called Monk's Trail. The entire hike up is in the forest, and parts of it are along a creek with some nice waterfalls here and there, so we recommend doing it. The view of the city is also very nice. Besides enjoying the natural route and relaxing time at Mon ThaThan waterfall, there is a small scenic waterfall. Experience the movement of clouds, wind, trees, flowers, grass, and the movement of small little animals that live together in the fertile forest. This full-day hiking tour will immerse you in the forest high up on the summit of Doi Suthep Pui. Doi Pha Klong is 1,535 meters above the sea and is a high mountain that connects Doi Suthep - Doi Pui National Park and Mae Rim District, Chiang Mai. It is the trail for the Hmong hill tribe to go find stuff in the forest to sell. It is a walking route with very few tourists. It has an easy walking distance but is quite far and steep for some time. However, on the way, there will be large shady trees, beautiful views, and fresh and comfortable air. You can hear the wind blowing. You will enjoy the scenery along the walking path. The highlight is on the highest point, you will be able to see the 360-degree Panorama view, connected by 3 impressive districts and it will be an unforgettable memory of your activities.

The invigorating mountain air, the fresh, cool climate, makes it a rejuvenating break from the city. Doi Intanon, 8514 feet above sea level – the highest peak in Thailand, is probably the most preserved National Parks in Thailand. It is extremely popular among bird watchers, with more than 383 species have been reported.

The forest is mixture between evergreen forest (1,000 meter above the sea level) and the mixed deciduous-evergreen forest.
